This is an association totally
different from all associations
so far known to us. In a sense
all the servants of the Lord,
who have served Him faithfully
since Old Testament times have
been its members, though never
in the history of Judaism or
Christianity has anyone founded
an association and named it
after Jonathan, who fought the
philistines and defeated them
almost single handedly when he
knew that it was God’s will to
do so [1. Sam 14: 1—23].
We learn from the first book of
Samuel that Jonathan, the son of
King Saul had a fine sense of
justice and a loving heart. He
sympathized with the victims of
injustice; he never sided with
the unjust no matter what
happened; he did not find fault
with the Israelites for their
lack of faith or courage;
instead of blaming others for
their timidity and weaknesses,
he saw a wonderful opportunity
in their inability and inaction;
he was willing to co-operate
with all who were ready to go
forward along the right path; he
always did his duties before God
and man disregarding the
consequences [1. Sam: 31: 2].
The Lord today needs thousands
of Jonathans – men and women
born again and baptized in the
name of the Father and the Son
and the Holy Spirit, who are
willing to do their duties
before God and man, always
standing for justice, refusing
to be fault-finders, loving all,
just and truthful in all
dealings and willing to be
guided by the Holy Spirit in all
matters. It is as a result of
the courageous and faithful
discharging of duties by these
Jonathans that the world today
is to be fully and effectively
evangelized.
Are you willing to be used as a
Jonathan in the hands of the
Lord? If you are, submit
yourself to the Holy Spirit of
God, make sure, your words and
actions testify that you bear
the fruit of the Spirit [Gal: 5:
22—23], you are always just,
truthful, kind and loving in all
your dealings, you preach the
Word in season and out of season
[2. Thimothy 4: 2], you
encourage all to trust the Lord
and act bravely, you never waste
your time and energy by
examining and finding out the
faults of others and that you
make every effort to propagate
the Gospel of Jesus Christ using
all the resources at your
disposal. If you do these
things, please bear in mind that
you are a Jonathan in the hands
of the Lord, you will be used
mightily for His glory and that
you deserve to be considered one
of JONATHANS INTERNATIONAL, an
association invisible to the
human eye, but real in the eyes
of God. We, the Christian
brethren at the Bible Study
Centre, Mannuthy, Kerala believe
that the Lord considers us as
well as many others in the world
today, members of this invisible
association guided and
controlled always by the Holy
Spirit of God and never by any
man. We urge you to join this
spiritual association having no
office or office bearers, by
dedicating yourself to serving
God in obedience to Matthew 28:
19 [“Go therefore and make
disciples of all the nations,
baptizing them in the name of
the Father and the Son and the
Holy Spirit, teaching them to
observe all that I commanded
you”], 2 Thimothy 2: 3 [“Suffer
hardship with me as a good
soldier of Christ Jesus”] and
Galatians 6: 10 [“…let us do
good to all men, and especially
to those who are of the
household of the faith”]. If
this exhortation leads you to
become one of God’s Jonathans
chosen from different nations
and tribes and peoples and
tongues, we believe that you
will make maximum use of the
opportunity for E-mail
evangelism provided by this
website and engage yourself
wholeheartedly in all the
activities to which the Holy
Spirit leads you . May God bless
